GAY BOWL REFRESHED!!

GOAL: Align the design of Gay Bowl with the tournaments growth and potential to more fully embody the 5-year vision of the NGFFL to become the greatest place for LGBT people to experience all the wonderful things that come from participation in team sports.

In Wild Card Round, eight teams will compete for seeds 13-16 in the A Bracket main draw!

Now separate A and B divisions! Teams that finished 1-16 in previous year assigned to the A Division; remaining and new teams comprise the B Division More competitive games from start to finish More welcoming entry for new teams

How will the Wild Card impact the schedule?


For those in it, a late-Saturday game to play your way into the Championship bracket! For those not in it, an exciting new round of games to cheer on and scout aspiring challengers!

Pre-rankings have not changed significantly in years Only four teams have won title since Gay Bowl I in 2002

BENEFIT:

More competitive games in pool play; no easier road for top teams, just like the NFL; the A-Bracket seeding process coming out of pool play remains the same strong results from pool play are rewarded More teams have the opportunity to win the championship!
